Fyndyghan
This model draws its inspiration from the margin patterns of Findighan carpets. Originally woven in the village of Findighan, this carpet style is also popular in surrounding villages near Baku. Findighan carpets feature two core margin strips rather than just one. They incorporate floral and S-symbol motifs, which are believed to symbolize the funnelled flow of water, suggesting a settled, enhanced way of life. Alternatively, these motifs represent fertility and immortality. The core margin in Findighans is an ancient symbol, with the four arcs thought to represent the four corners of the world.
