Katabali
This bracelet draws inspiration from the “Kataba” pattern. “Kataba” is the plural form of the Arabic word “katib,” meaning a private secretary. In carpet terminology, Kataba refers to a medallion of cylindrical or elongated shape, reminiscent of the “Göl” (lake) pattern. When borders, particularly the central one, are adorned with Kataba designs, they are referred to as Katabali. If a large carpet area features various Kataba motifs, it is termed Katababandlik. Occasionally, the names of the master, artist, or customer are inscribed on the Kataba.
