This exquisite jewellery piece draws inspiration from the patterns of the Malibeyli carpet, part of the Shusha group within the Garabagh carpet-making tradition. Named after the village near Shusha, Malibeyli carpets embody a rich cultural heritage. While the men of this village engaged in cattle breeding and agriculture, the women dedicated themselves to carpet weaving. The jewellery incorporates patterns in five distinct shapes, introduced to Azerbaijani art from Uyghur and Chinese artistic influences. These designs harmoniously merged with local culture, reflecting the region’s religious beliefs and lifestyle.
