Garabagh
This jewelry design draws inspiration from the patterns of the Malibeyli carpet, part of the Shusha group of the Garabagh carpet-making school. Malibeyli carpets are named after a village near Shusha, where carpet weaving was traditionally the primary occupation for the women, while the men engaged in cattle breeding and crop growing. The five distinct shapes featured in these jewelry pieces have origins in Uyghur and Chinese art, seamlessly blending with Azerbaijani folk art due to the local population’s religious beliefs and lifestyle.
