Named after a village near Shusha, the men of Malibeyli typically engaged in cattle-breeding and farming, while the women honed the art of carpet weaving. The jewellery’s five intricate patterns trace their origins to Uyghur and Chinese art, seamlessly blending with Azerbaijani culture thanks to the area’s prevailing religious beliefs and lifestyle.
