Garabagh

This model draws inspiration from the Malibeyli carpet patterns of the Shusha group, part of the Garabagh carpet-making school. Malibeyli carpets take their name from a village near Shusha. While the men in this village focused on cattle breeding and farming, the women dedicated themselves to carpet weaving. The five-pattern designs on this jewellery were originally from Uyghur/Chinese art and seamlessly integrated into Azerbaijani popular art, aligning with the local culture’s religious beliefs and lifestyle.
