Gusar

This piece draws inspiration from the ornaments of Zeiva carpets, part of the Guba group within the Guba-Shirvan carpet-making region, renowned for their rich, ancient history. Named after a village near Gusar, these carpets feature a star-like geometric motif with dotted lines as the primary element, dating back to medieval times. Although the shape of this element in Guba-woven carpets typically remains constant, the interior design may vary, sometimes adopting a cross shape with symbolic significance.
