Lachak-Turunj

This item draws inspiration from the “Lachak Turunj” composition, which features two key elements: “lachak” (interpreted as a petal or a face) and “turunj” (a bitter orange). In ancient times, the turunj was a cherished gift thanks to its delightful aroma. Traditionally, a copper tray with these fruits was displayed or hung in the center of the room, a practice still observed in Northeast Iran. Some interpretations suggest this tradition led to the association of the turunj with the center of the carpet.
