Lachak-Turunj

This item is inspired by the elements of the Lachak-Turunj composition, which comprises two elements: lechek (interpreted as either a leaf or a face) and toreng (representing the center of the carpet). Toreng is the name of a fruit that, due to its pleasant aroma, was considered a gift in ancient times. A copper tray with the fruit was often placed or hung in the middle of the room—a tradition that still exists in the northeast of Iran. According to some interpretations, this has led to its association with the center of the carpet.
