Shaki
This model draws inspiration from the intricate patterns of Sheki latticework, a unique art form featuring glass. Situated in one of the most picturesque regions of Azerbaijan, Sheki ranks among the oldest human settlements in the Caucasus, with archaeological evidence of habitation dating back over 2,500 years. The grand Sheki Khan Palace, a gem of historic Sheki, was constructed in the 18th century without a single nail or drop of glue. Its construction utilized latticework, a method that assembles wood and colored glass. Known as a city of masters, craftsmen, and silk producers, Sheki has long attracted merchants from across the Silk Road. Consequently, great care was taken in building the caravansarays, merchants’ hotels, whose windows are adorned with latticework renowned for its vibrant colors and elegance.
