Varamin

There are various interpretations of this motif. Some researchers propose it represents birds roosting in a tree, while others describe it as a stylized eagle’s head. A third opinion suggests it originates from the split leaf border. This ornament is also known as “Varamin,” named after a town southeast of Tehran.
