Shirin

Inspired by a pictorial rug fragment from the renowned “Faces” collection in Kirchheim, this pendant beautifully captures the star-crossed lovers from Nizami Ganjavi’s famous tragic romance, Khosrow and Shirin. The rug, attributed to either Anatolia or Azerbaijan, is generally believed to date back to the 13th or 14th century.
