Shusha

This piece draws inspiration from the legendary ‘Khari Bulbul’ flower, found exclusively in Shusha, Garabagh. The Khari Bulbul is surrounded by marvelous tales, one of which tells of a Garabagh Khan’s daughter, married to an Iranian prince, who longed for her homeland. To ease her sorrow, the prince had a garden created with all the trees and flowers native to Garabagh. Yet, despite his efforts, the Khari Bulbul failed to flourish there.
