Fyndyghan
This model draws inspiration from the margin patterns of Findighan carpets. Originally woven in the village of Findighan, these carpets have also gained popularity in other villages around Baku. Unique to Findighan carpets are their two core margin strips, as opposed to the usual single strip. The design includes floral motifs and S-symbols, symbolizing a funnelled flow of water, hinting at a settled, improved way of life, or alternatively representing fertility and immortality. The core margin in Findighans is an ancient symbol, with four arcs believed to represent the four sides of the world.
