This piece draws inspiration from the Gadabay carpets of the esteemed Gadabay carpet-making school, featuring a striking star-shaped medallion. Gadabay is regarded as one of Azerbaijan’s most ancient human settlements, with monuments dating from the 12th to the 7th century BC discovered there. The region’s settled lifestyle is captured in the geometric ornaments woven into the carpet designs.
