Garabagh
This exquisite piece draws inspiration from the distinctive patterns of the Malibeyli carpet, an iconic design from the Shusha group of the Garabagh carpet-making school. These carpets are named after Malibeyli, a village near Shusha. While the men of Malibeyli traditionally engaged in cattle breeding and farming, carpet weaving was the primary craft of the village women. The five patterned motifs featured in this jewellery are influenced by elements of Uyghur and Chinese art, which seamlessly integrated with Azerbaijani cultural and religious traditions.
