This exquisite piece draws inspiration from the Malibeyli carpet patterns, a distinguished element of the Shusha group within the Garabagh carpet-making tradition. Malibeyli carpets take their name from a village near Shusha. In this village, while the men engaged in cattle-breeding and agriculture, carpet weaving was the primary occupation for the women. The five-shaped patterns featured in this jewellery blend influences from Uyghur and Chinese art into Azerbaijani popular art, seamlessly integrating with local culture due to the community’s religious beliefs and lifestyle.
