Lachak-Turunj
This item draws inspiration from the elements of the “Lachak Turunj” composition, featuring two key elements: “lachak” (interpreted as a petal or face) and “turunj” (a bitter orange). In ancient times, turunj was a popular gift because of its delightful scent. A copper tray with these fruits was placed or hung in the center of a room—a tradition still observed in North-East Iran. Some interpretations suggest this practice led to associating turunj with the center of carpets.
