Shusha

This piece is inspired by the exquisite and legendary flower, ‘Khari Bulbul,’ which grows exclusively in the Shusha region of Garabagh. The Khari Bulbul is a subject of many enchanting stories. According to one such tale, the daughter of a Garabagh Khan, wed to an Iranian prince, yearned for her homeland. To ease her sorrow, the prince had a garden planted with all the trees and flowers native to Garabagh. Remarkably, all the plants thrived, except for the Khari Bulbul.
