Starry

This piece is inspired by the border motif with stars commonly found in Guba carpets. The star, a symbol appearing in tribal rugs, embodies centuries of tradition. The eight-pointed star is an ancient emblem of spirituality, often called “Mohammed’s jewel.” It was also the star of the Medes and Persians.
