Zagatala
This model draws inspiration from the elements of the Zakatala medallion, traditionally featured on long rugs. Zakatala, also known as Zakataly district, consists of several villages located approximately 75 miles north of Ganja in the central Caucasus. Due to its location, Zakatala motifs share many similarities with those from Qazakh. These motifs are classified separately as they are primarily found on 19th and early 20th-century rugs that have only recently entered the Western market. In addition to the motifs described, Lesghi stars, Memling guls, and the Fachralo medallion are also present in Zakatala rugs.
