Kufesque
This piece draws inspiration from the renowned margin pattern found in Pirebedil (Shirvan), Göllu-Chichi (Quba), and other carpets, known as the Kufesque margin. Early iterations of this design appear in 14th-century rugs, featuring patterns closely linked to decorations using Kufic script, the oldest form of Arabic calligraphy. Kufic script was prominent in manuscripts from the 8th to the 10th centuries and adorned mosque arch inscriptions during the early Mongol period.
