Lachak-Turunj
This item draws inspiration from the “Lachak Turunj” composition, featuring two key elements: “lachak” (interpreted as a petal or a face) and “turunj” (a bitter orange). In ancient times, turunj was given as a gift for its delightful aroma. A copper tray with these fruits was either placed or hung in the center of the room, a tradition that continues in Northeast Iran. Some interpretations suggest that this custom led to the turunj being associated with the center of a carpet.
