Chalabi
This bracelet draws inspiration from the central medallion of Chelebi carpets, a hallmark of the Garabakh carpet school in Azerbaijan. These carpets boast a truly unique design, featuring a captivating and enigmatic central medallion. In addition to the Chelebi carpets, this design is also present in Barjid carpets from South Azerbaijan, making it a rarity in the Orient.
The medallion is believed to depict a double-headed bird said to guard Paradise in oriental mythology. At its center, a cruciform symbolizes the four primal elements: earth, water, air, and fire.
