Chichakli
This design takes inspiration from the margin patterns of Findighan carpets, originally woven in the village of Findighan and popular in other villages around Baku. Unlike other carpets, Findighan carpets feature two core margin strips instead of one. These strips showcase floral and S-symbol motifs, believed to represent the water’s channeled flow, symbolizing a settled, enriched life, or alternatively, fertility and immortality. The core margin in Findighans serves as an ancient symbol, with its four arcs representing the four corners of the world.
