Garabagh Chalabi

These cufflinks draw inspiration from the central medallion of Chelebi carpets, part of Azerbaijan’s Garabakh carpet school. The carpet design is uniquely captivating, featuring a mysterious central medallion. Aside from the Chelebi carpets, this design appears only in Barjid carpets of South Azerbaijan and is unseen elsewhere in the Orient. A cruciform at the medallion’s center symbolizes the four primal elements: earth, water, air, and fire.
