Silk Embroidery

These cufflinks draw inspiration from the 17th-century “Ipak Tikma” (silk embroidery) of Garabagh, currently showcased at the Victoria and Albert Museum in London. Embroidery, an ancient art form closely linked to carpet making, stands distinct from weaving as it doesn’t require complex loom technology. Instead, it demands remarkable technical skills, creativity, and a refined sense of taste and color. The historical regions of Azerbaijan boast rich traditions and diverse styles in both carpet weaving and embroidery.
