Gadabay

This piece draws inspiration from the Gadabay carpets, specifically from the Gadabay carpet-making school, featuring a vivid star-shaped medallion. Gadabay is considered one of Azerbaijan’s oldest human settlements, with monuments from between the 12th and 7th centuries BC discovered in the area. The settled lifestyle of its people is captured in the geometric ornamentation woven into the carpets.
