Ganja has long been renowned for its high-quality carpets, uniquely distinguished by the ‘Ganja’ pattern, where butas (paisley symbols) are woven along diagonal lines. As the birthplace of notable poets and a hub of literary activity, Ganja’s rich cultural heritage is mirrored in the design. Situated at the crossroads of caravan routes, the city has played a pivotal role in Azerbaijan’s socio-economic, political, and cultural history.
