Mahi

Named after the city of Herat, “Herati” designs feature patterns resembling fish and water gardens, complete with canals and aquatic themes. Hence, it is often referred to as “mahi,” meaning fish in Persian. The depiction of two fish from the Herati water garden symbolizes happiness in marriage.
