Shahseven

This piece draws inspiration from the 19th-century Azerbaijani “Shahseven” wool embroidery, featuring rotating swastikas as a motif. The roots of Azerbaijani embroidery are traced back through archaeological findings. Simple ornamental designs resembling embroidery—such as straight lines, broken lines, zigzags, dot patterns, circles, triangles, and diamonds—have been discovered on ceramic vessels from the early Bronze Age.
