Aghsu
This piece draws inspiration from images on copper artifacts discovered in the Aghsu region. Aghsu, first mentioned in the 16th century, was known for trade and craftsmanship, with numerous craft workshops unearthed during archaeological excavations. Imported copper and iron were skillfully cut, carved, hammered, and melted to create a variety of market-ready products. Of particular interest was a buta-shaped (paisley-shaped) forged copper piece, featuring a carved image of a man. This image, partially reflected in the design, likely represents one of the city’s esteemed warriors.
