Khizy

Inspired by the renowned Khizi carpets of the Baku group, this model draws its essence from Azerbaijani heritage. Khizi, a region in Azerbaijan with a rich history, is believed to have been settled by people from Iran’s Khuzistan province during the early Middle Ages, serving as a defense for the northern borders of the Sassanid Empire. The name likely originates from that province.

This area boasts distinctive flora and fauna, with zoomorphic depictions often found in Khizi carpets mirroring the region’s natural beauty. The presented model features elements such as the tree of life and other geometric patterns, directly inspired by the abstract composition of Khizi carpets.
