Kochak
This model draws inspiration from the popular margin pattern often found in Pirebedil (Shirvan), Göllu-Chichi (Quba), and various other carpets, known as the Kufesque margin. Early versions of this design appear in fourteenth-century rugs, closely linked to decoration featuring Kufic script, the oldest Arabic calligraphic form. Kufic script was prevalent in manuscripts from the 8th to 10th centuries and adorned mosque arch inscriptions during the early Mongol period.
